ISAF VIII Training started

Long time no see!
A lot has happened lately, I'm no longer a part of my old platoon. I've signed the contract that says I'm a part of ISAF VIII, I've never been closer to Kabul...
The weekdays we now spend in another camp, training to be prepared for whatever we may meet down i Kabul.
I'm getting more and more excited to get started with the mission every day now.

Morning in Tromsø

It's been a while since I last posted something in my blog. The reason is some technical problems with my computer.

The waiting is over...
Last week I got the final message that I will be a part of ISAF VIII in Kabul from this summer on. The mission-specific training starts this week and from now on it's only gona get more and more interesting.

Right now I'm on a weekend leave in Tromsø and I've just enjoyed a nice breakfast at the hotel I'm staying at.

Sunny days

Sunny days

It's raining. The good thing is that it starts to wash away the tonns of snow surrounding me everywhere.

Not long now before the spring is here, we can allready see the start of it. We're now in the part of the world with the longest lasting days. The light lasts for more minutes every day and it will eventually end up with the beautiful midnightsun. I'm not shure when it comes, but I hope I'll get to see it before I go to Kabul.

This picture was taken earlyer this year, It was actually the last day of an exercise and the first time we saw the sun this year!
I can't imagine a better ending of an exercise.
